In our quest to find great decorations with a fleur de lis theme, we also wanted to find a great costume with the emblem used in some form or fashion. After searching high and low, we found one great costume that shows off New Orleans and the fleur de lis. In picture below this little girl has a fleur de lis face! It's the most creative and fun use of the symbol that we have seen and we thought it needed to be shared with you.

Purple and Gold Fleur De Lis
Our hats are off to the winning LSU Tigers! Last night's win will go down in history somewhere we are sure. Since we are always on the lookout for the fleur de lis, we couldn't help but notice that the dance team uniforms were sporting a beautiful while and gold fleur de lis! They ladies looked lovely. We couldn't find a picture of the new uniform, but we hope to have one soon.
This gorgeous picture, puts Mike the Tiger in the shape of a fleur de lis. The unique design of the tiger in the background makes this such a unique fleur de lis. For those LSU fans out there, we hope you love this image as much as we do. The late night win in Tiger Stadium was about as exciting as football gets, no matter who were pulling for, and our hearts were with the Tigers!
As always, we welcome your commnts about this beautiful picture or the game. We love LSU......Geaux Tigers!

The Fleur De Lis and Louisiana Sports
The fleur de lis has become a recognizable symbol among sports teams. The New Orleans Saints have used the symbol on their uniforms for quite some time now. We have also noticed that since the logo has such a symbolic meaning to the city that another famous team has adopted the symbol into their uniform as well.
Starting with this season, the New Orleans Hornets have incorporated the fleur de lis into their team jerseys as well. The new design is a honeybee intertwined with a fleur de lis, and we think that the new design looks great! You can certainly pair any type of fleur de lis accessory with this honeybee!
It's exciting to see that the the fleur de lis can be incorporated into so many different facets of things that are important to the city like professional sports. The Saints and the Hornets are two important organizations that contribute to the rebuilding of New Orleans. In fact they are so important, that keeping the teams in the city has become a major factor in the upcoming governor's race.
The state of Louisiana will be voting for the new governor on Saturday, October 20, 2007. Important factors in voting decisions from fans may be how the new governor will work with both teams, ensuring they stay in New Orleans. Nola.com has an ongoing discussion about this topic with the locals to find out their opinions on the topic.
We would love to hear your opinions on if you think that professional sports should stay in Louisiana or not, and if you think it should be a factor in the governor's race.

Trendy Fashion and Jewelry
Many celebrities have been seen wearing fleur de lis caps, earrings, and apparel. This fashion trend has even helped the city gain exposure to the nation. The new Fox cop drama television hit show K-Ville uses a fleur de lis in it's logo. Paris Hilton, Jessica Simpson, Eva Longoria, and several other stars have been seen wearing the trend setting fashion and jewelry.
Most items can be purchased in online stores at great prices. Fashion jewelry and apparel that appeals to people of all ages, and is reasonably priced, makes it easy to follow the latest trends. Dressing like celebrities doesn't have to be expensive and can be a fun way to spice up your wadrobe.
Including a New Orleans theme to your sense of style, can make your fashion sense an even bigger statement.
